The Fête des vendanges Magog-Orford heralds the beginning of fall activities in the magnificent Eastern Townships region.  The first edition of the festival was held in 1993.  The team at Vignoble Le Cep d'Argent were the original force behind the initiative, which ripened well, like good grapes.

In the years since, the Fête des vendanges has garnered acclaim and, above all, it has matured with grace.  Today, not only is it considered one of the most important events in the Eastern Townships, it is Québec's largest celebration of regional food specialties and wines.  The site for the festivities is Merry's Point on the shores of Lake Memphrémagog, and it is an impressive gathering, with music and tasting sessions aplenty to please food- and wine-loving visitors.

The mission of the Fête des vendanges is to give the people of Québec a chance to discover and sample Québec regional agri-food and winery products in a festive, convivial atmosphere.

This event could not happen without our partners in the public and private sectors, such as the SAQ, our official partner, whose faithful support is vital to the festival's success.  We would like to mention the outstanding and much appreciated contribution of all levels of government, and the substantial support provided by the City of Magog in the form of infrastructure and human resources.  Thanks to these partnerships, we are able to bring the Fête to life again year after year, much to our visitors' delight.

We must not forget to mention the vital contribution of dozens of devoted volunteers who give generously of their time.

The Fête des vendanges is a non-profit organization managed by a board of directors.  The Board delegates part of its authority to a task force which produces the event.
